Magnolia Mashburn was born a Hapa (half Chinese & half white) in Hawaii, who later relocated and was raised in Nashville, TN where she still resides. She comes from 15+ years in the hospitality industry where she found her love of wine. Self taught by reading books, her favorite is The Wine Bible by Karen MacNeil, and attending wine tastings. During those tastings she met Dave Powell, owner of Torbreck Winery in Australia at the time, who invited her to work at his winery. She accepted and spent 4 months working as a cellarhand. Shortly after returning to the states she started her own company, The Cellar Geek. Today, Magnolia runs The Cellar Geek managing private wine collections in which she offers a variety of services for her clients including procuring, organizing, setting up a digital system, evaluating, finding special bottles and assisting in selling private collections. Magnolia loves to connect people to wine with all its history and quirky stories.
